What we are looking for:
We are seeking a highly motivated Corporate Governance Officer where you will bring your problem-solving, organisational, and relationship-building skills to a dynamic and collaborative team.
This role will offer you a blend of responsibilities where you will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to interpret and apply policy, legislation, and procedures.

What your day will look like:
- Prepare agendas, minutes, and reports; ensure compliance with Council’s procedures and act as minute secretary for Council meetings and other corporate meetings as required.
- Oversee insurance activities, including notifying insurers, managing claims, and ensuring timely payments.
- Maintain systems for councillor compliance, including the Register of Interests and Related Parties.
- Respond to customer requests from internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide advice to senior staff on report writing and resolution drafting for meetings and compliance matters.

What you’ll need for success:
- Diploma (AQF level 5 or above) in Business, Administration or equivalent and/or equivalent experience in a corporate governance field.
What’s nice to have:
- Extensive experience in governance matters including corporate reporting, delegations, meeting administration and secretarial duties.
- Demonstrable awareness/experience in policy management and risk management
