About the role
Yeowarra Christmas Tree Farm is seeking an experienced Production Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations in Irrewarra, Victoria. This is a short-term contract role lasting one month, or the duration of our Autumn pruning, and offering the opportunity to apply your expertise in optimizing production processes, meeting production targets and driving continuous improvement within a growing organization.
What you'll be doing
- Developing and implementing production plans to meet operational targets
- Overseeing the work of production teams, including scheduling, resource allocation and performance management
- Identifying and resolving production bottlenecks and inefficiencies
- Analyzing production data and providing recommendations for process improvements
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations
- Fostering a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role in an operations and production environment
- Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and analytical skills
- Ability to lead and motivate production teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
