Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. An exciting Permanent Part Time position has opened up within the Health Information & Record Service Department working 24 hours per week.

The successful incumbent will provide an efficient and effective health information and record management service at Nepean Hospital by ensuring the health care record is available to facilitate an optimal level of direct and indirect patient care 24 hours/7 days week.

What you will bring to the role

  1. Energetic worker who has the ability and flexibility to work various rostered shifts to maintain a 24/7 record service.
  2. Proven ability to work as an effective team member.
  3. Good understanding of the purpose of patient records in a patient care environment.
  4. Good understanding of information privacy and confidentiality.
  5. High level oral and written communication skills.
  6. Previous clerical experience including use of computers, phones, photocopiers, faxes and filing systems.
  7. Positive attitude and the flexibility to maintain work standards and a service focus in a changing environment.
  8. Proven ability to prioritise tasks to ensure shift objectives are met.
