Stockwell Design and Construction is seeking a Finishes Supervisor for our latest medium rise multi-unit residential development in West End.
The Finishes Supervisor is to plan, take complete ownership on the ground including manage and control all subcontractors and trades in accordance with the plans and specifications, and Stockwell Safety Standards.
Stockwell has a rich history of construction and development spanning over 72 years.
Stockwell Design and Construction has a pipeline of work in residential, commercial, retail and leisure projects throughout Queensland. This workload is already planned, and our team is growing.
We are seeking candidates with trade or site management backgrounds with experience in all forms of construction works, ideally on medium rise multi-unit residential buildings.
Candidates need to be enthusiastic, driven, strategic and passionate with a sound knowledge of current building and engineering practices.

Role Description:
The role of the Finishes Supervisor requires:
- Ensuring the project is delivered in accordance with Customer Contracts, Statutory Approvals, and Principal Project Requirements.
- Team player, proactive, solution focused to ensure delivery of this project to the program.
- Accepting challenges and be forthcoming in solutions.
- Work within WHS requirements.
- Manage subcontractors and program to meet the contract program.
- Chair weekly subcontractor meetings as required and deal with ad hoc issues in a timely manner.
- Ensuring that Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, methodologies and procedures are prepared, reviewed, approved and updated as required.
- Responsibility for site logistics, deliveries and major plant movements associated with finishing and fitout trade coordination.
- Schedule and document meetings prior to these works taking place.
- Manage defect close outs with your team and subcontractors.
- Report daily and weekly to the Site Manager highlighting areas of concern, and any problems and solutions affecting project delivery. Be proactive in identifying solutions and promote forward thinking.
