RoleThe Reviews, Curriculum, Teaching and Learning Branch are welcoming applications for an experienced Executive Services Officer to join their team on a temporary full-time basis, until 12 May 2026, unless otherwise determined. Within this role you will have the opportunity to:
- Provide high quality confidential administrative and executive support to the Senior Executive Officers within School and Region Reviews.
- Liaise with senior management, and representatives of business units and regions across the department, and other government agencies to ensure the provision of high-quality administrative support functions.
School and Region Reviews supports continuous improvement in Queensland state delivered kindergartens, state schools and education centres providing leadership and oversight for the program of school and emerging system and place-based reviews.
About The Role
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain effective time management practices for senior management, including coordinating diary appointments, prioritising correspondence and responding to outstanding queries and requests for information.
- Coordinate travel arrangements and handle with a high level of accuracy the processing of travel claims payments and reconciliations, using appropriate software programs and adhering to departmental standards.
- Develop, implement and review executive support systems and procedures within the branch to ensure that they operate in accordance with departmental requirements and standards.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy in all correspondence and administrative documents using appropriate software programs, including MS Teams, Content Manager and OneNote.
- Encourage an environment in which high quality services are delivered by continually seeking improvements in administrative systems and processes.

- High level skills in problem solving, prioritisation and managing competing demands in a timely manner;
- Excellent attention to detail and flexibility to meet the changing needs of the executive leadership team and the broader branch.
