Are you a skilled communicator with a passion for strategy and teamwork? We are looking for a dynamic and driven Senior Communications Officer to manage, develop, implement, maintain, and monitor internal and external communication activities and strategies. In this role, you'll work closely with our in-house design team, including the Graphic Designer, Senior Digital Officer, Senior Communications Officers, and Social Media Officer, to coordinate and deliver effective communication plans. This includes working from home options, and working remotely at a Regional QBCC office subject to availability. If working from a regional office, travel to the Brisbane office base will be required frequency to be negotiated with successful candidate) to fulfil project service delivery and operational business needs and may involve travel outside of normal office hours and/or overnight accommodation.
Key Outcomes And Accountabilities
- Project manage communication activities across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure effective outcomes are delivered within required timeframes/budget expectations.
- Liaise with the Communications Manager to develop, implement, maintain and monitor internal and external communication and engagement strategies.
- Translate technical information into accessible language and ensure consistency with messaging.
Candidate Attributes
- Demonstrated experience as a senior communications professional in a similar role, including skills in developing strategic communications plans, writing, editing and performance reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and interact with stakeholders and industry leaders at the highest level to build positive working relationships for the organisation.
- Well-developed interpersonal and oral communication skills. Strong analytical skills, including an ability to bring an “outside-the-box” thinking aptitude and creativity to communications activities using outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, and deliver multiple communication outputs within short timeframes.
