Primary Purpose of Role:
- Coordinate and concurrently deliver a portfolio of complex telecommunications projects in accordance with CFS operational demands and goals, including scoping and developing Project Plans and schedules that clearly articulate and deliver project deliverables.
- Build positive and effective working relationships with all CFS Telecommunications stakeholders, including users, suppliers, and other government agencies and represent the CFS in the resolution of complex issues.
- Coordinate and ensure the delivery of timely, efficient, and cost-effective telecommunications contracts and services to CFS in a largely outsourced environment. (CFS Telecommunications is responsible for and covers, but is not limited to, Trunked radio network/s SAGRN, VHF, UHF and HF Radio, Paging, Mobile telephony, and data connectivity, including satellite and fixed telephony).
- Manage the payment of a diverse and large volume of CFS Telecommunications Accounts, e.g. Telstra, Optus, and Satellite.
- Undertake an emergency support or incident management role, via a defined ‘operational’ on-call roster, with the potential to be re-called under emergency situations, to enable the provision of emergency service activities by CFS to the community.
