About the role

Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, you’ll be the first point of contact for HR-related matters, providing expert advice, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring compliance with HR policies and Fair Work legislation. You’ll play a key role in supporting managers and employees, driving HR initiatives, and enhancing our people-first culture.

Core requirements of your role

  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of workforce information in the human resource information data systems | SharePoint
  • Update to maintain employee profiles to track compliance records
  • Monitor absentee records and highlight areas of concern to the HR Director
  • Oversee and drive direct recruitment as required whilst partnering with hiring managers
  • Liaise with Payroll to track staff movement and changes of terms and conditions of employment
  • Coach and assist mid- level management in performance management processes and practices
  • Interpret award entitlements terms and conditions in changing workplace relations environment
  • With guidance from HR Director, manage the onboarding programme of new hires
  • Assist with Training Needs Analyses, development of Training Plans and maintain staff training records
  • Develop and roll out internal training on company policies/procedures and legal compliance
  • Drive the Hotels internal staff recognition programmes
  • Assists roll out of Culture Survey’s, collate and present results to HR Director
  • Collaboratively develop annual inspirational people strategies and initiatives that make a significant impact on our people
  • Ensure employee relations matters have a result driven outcome and are mediated efficiently and effectively according to policy and relevant industrial framework

About you

The successful candidate will be an experienced Human Resource, People Engagement professional within an operationally driven industry.

We seek an addition to our team who is resilient, with high integrity, sound judgment and problem-solving skills, who can draw from experience to provide impartial employee relations guidance.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. (desirable)
  • Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role
  • Experience within a hotel environment (desirable)
  • Strong experience with end-to-end hiring
  • Strong knowledge of Fair Work legislation, RTW, Workcover and award interpretation.
  • Excellent communication, organisational skills, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
  • Full working rights in Australia
