Your role:

We are seeking a proactive and motivated Sales Executive to join our team on a parental leave cover. This role offers flexibility, requiring only three days per week, with the opportunity to choose between Monday to Wednesday or Tuesday to Thursday based on your availability. You will be managing a small but dynamic territory, which includes two Bunnings stores and three to four independent businesses. This role provides a balanced mix of Dulux retail and Cabot responsibilities, with a rough split of two days for Dulux retail and one day for Cabots. There is potential for additional brand ambassador work, which will add variety to your day-to-day responsibilities.

In this role, you will manage key relationships, perform sales executive duties, and oversee merchandising activities such as managing the color wall, ordering chips, and ensuring that tinters and merchandising materials are well-maintained. This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow the Dulux and Cabot brands within a manageable territory, while maintaining strong customer relationships and meeting sales targets. Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including Bunnings and independent businesses.
  • Manage merchandising tasks, such as maintaining the color wall, and ensuring chips and tinters are ordered and up to date.
  • Achieve sales targets through consultative selling, securing promotional ends, and introducing new products or deals.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while driving product market share and business growth.
  • Engage in training, product knowledge development, and relay activities to ensure high standards in all channels.

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in retail or sales environments such as Bunnings, paint shops, or hardware stores.
  • Strong sales, influencing, and negotiating skills with the ability to communicate and present confidently.
  • Excellent customer service orientation, with the ability to develop and maintain key relationships.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks autonomously in a flexible work environment.
  • A degree in sales, marketing, finance, or a related field would be beneficial, but not essential.
