Wintringham is a specialised non-religious not-for-profit welfare organisation. We are committed to providing older people who are at risk or have experienced homelessness with a range of high-quality care, housing and services. We employ more than 1,000 staff across Victoria and Tasmania.



Your new role


Wintringham is seeking a dynamic and proactive Area Coordinator, to join our multi-disciplinary Hume community team on a Full-Time basis. The Area Coordinator will provide support and supervision for a team of case managers who will work to ensure clients receive the support and care needed based on their funded level of package.



Your duties and responsibilities will include:



  • Promote a non-institutional philosophy by recognising and promoting the rights of clients
  • Promote consistent growth and viability of the Home Support Program(HCP)
  • Develop strong relationships with local services and networks
  • Ensure duty of care to both clients and staff is adhered to at all times
  • Ensure high quality, comprehensive case management services are provided.
  • Provide support and supervision for a team of case managers
  • Ensure services being provided are in line with Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Maintain a small caseload of Home Care Package clients


We are looking for candidates with the following:



  • An approved tertiary qualification in Social Work, Nursing, Welfare, Community Services or Allied Health.
  • Demonstrated well developed networking skills
  • An understanding of the aged care sector and community services
  • Current Driver’s License
  • Experience in case management supervision and staff development
  • Experience in service delivery in a community setting
  • Sound understanding of the aged and community services legislative frameworks
  • Experience in the Health or the Aged Care sector and Homelessness
  • Commitment to the organisation and its philosophy of social justice.
  • Well-developed communication and liaison skills with a variety of people from varying socio-economic backgrounds
