Description

Secure Journeys has been selected to operate Australia’s Onshore Immigration Detention Network on behalf of the Australian Government.

Spotless, as a subcontractor to Secure Journeys, will be responsible for facilities maintenance and asset management of detention facilities and for providing catering and garrison services to detainees.

With the new contract commencing in early 2025, we currently have a full-time role available for a Site Facility Supervisor to join the Spotless team.

This role is dedicated to managing and delivering facilities management services for a government-based client, acting as the key point of communication and first responder for all reactive service needs.

What you’ll do

The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:

  • Manage FM works at the facility ensuring planned preventative and reactive services are scheduled and carried out on time with minimal disruption to the daily routine of IDN facilities and in accordance with the Asset Management and Maintenance Plan, as supported by the Site FM Manager in their state.
  • Co-Develop the Cleaning Services schedule, with their Site FM Manager based on activity-based rosters for all assets. Integrate periodic cleaning activities in standard rostered times without causing disruption to the daily operations of the facility.
  • Working with the Asset Management SME to ensure new fixed assets are listed accurately in the Asset Register and that any changes to the condition of assets are reported promptly.
  • Manage the Site FM services team, providing hands-on direct management and foster a positive and safety-focused culture.

What you’ll bring

  • Due to the nature of the work, you must be an Australian Citizen to be considered for this opportunity and willing to be sponsored for government security and employment clearances.
  • Trade qualification in either plumbing or electrical, to Cert 4.
  • Relevant state-based cards/registration to allow unrestricted works to occur.
  • A personal bias towards taking action and achieving results, balanced with situational awareness and critical thinking.
  • A mindset tuned towards realising financial and commercial outcomes.
  • A high degree of situational awareness relating to contractual obligations balanced against client and end user needs.

More than anything, you’ll bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.
