Life Saving Victoria (LSV) is Victoria's peak water safety and lifesaving organisation built on the proud traditions and programs of our founding organisations, the Royal Life Saving Society – Australia and Surf Life Saving Australia. Today LSV is a multifaceted volunteer-based community organisation with a focus on public safety and community wellbeing

We’re excited to offer a uniqueopportunity for a Lead Coordinator – Integrity , for a 12-month maternity leave cover in our Strategic Advisory team . We are open to part time and fulltime applicants. You’ll play a key role in supporting our 57 lifesaving clubs, ensuring LSV Integrity business unit operates effectively.


You’ll coordinate the daily operations of the Integrity unit, overseeing the Complaints Handling System, Member Protection, Safeguarding Children, and issues like competition manipulation, sports wagering, and the improper use of drugs. As the primary interface for member protection matters, you’ll work closely with the LSV Complaints Manager to make a real impact every day, while also facilitating training and support for volunteers and clubs in key integrity roles.


Your key responsibilities will include but not limited to:



  • Coordinate the resolution of complaints in a timely, fair, and proper manner, collaborating closely with the LSV Complaints Manager. Your responsibilities will include facilitating the escalation and resolution of complaints, ensuring clear communication among all relevant parties.




  • You will organise and lead panels or committees, prepare briefs for external stakeholders, and serve as secretary, accurately recording minutes and other pertinent information. Additionally, you will be responsible for closing out complaints and escalating matters to external parties when necessary, ensuring a comprehensive approach to complaint management




  • Coordination of initial receipt and follow-up of complaints, including preparing and sending responses, reviews, investigations, and recommendations on course of action.




  • Effectively report and administer complaint handling and child safety reports by maintaining and updating the Member Protection register, documenting and filing each matter, reporting on the register and individual issues, and attending and coordinating related meetings




  • Support the creation of customised education and training programs for staff and volunteers. Assist in the execution of Member Protection and Child Safety action plans, including identifying areas that require improvement and efficiency enhancements in processes and related policies/procedures.




  • Develop networks of member protection officers, complaints handling managers, and child safety officers.




  • Build a pool of member protection specialists, including investigators, mediators, and other relevant experts, to provide support to clubs and volunteers as needed. Maintain an up-to-date database of contact information and assignments.



We’re looking for a dynamic individual with experience in complaints handling, conflict management, and familiarity with the Sport Integrity Australia framework. Strong organizational, case management, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to manage sensitive topics while maintaining confidentiality. This role requires regional travel and occasional after-hours work. You’ll thrive working autonomously in a small, results-driven team and have excellent communication and presentation skills.


You must have, or be able to obtain, an employee Working with Children Check. While not essential, an understanding of the Lifesaving Movement, Governance, Child Safety & Complaints Handling will set you apart. Familiarity with volunteers, and a driver’s license is also a plus. A passion for water safety, and knowledge of Life Saving Victoria, Surf Life Saving Australia, VicSport, Sport Integrity Australia will be highly regarded.
