As we continue to expand our Melbourne practice, Andersen is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our dynamic team. Initially 3 days per week, this part-time role offers the opportunity to contribute to the firm’s growth while working in a collaborative and supportive environment.
The Opportunity
In this position, you will play a key role in managing both internal and external financial records. You will ensure that account transactions and reconciliations are completed accurately and on time, assist with payroll functions, and support various reporting tasks across a diverse client portfolio.

You will be responsible for internal bookkeeping as well as supporting client engagements in the following areas:
- Bank and Account Reconciliations: Ensure the accuracy of all account reconciliations for both internal and external financial records.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Manage the internal accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Payroll, Superannuation & Payroll Tax: Support our Private Client and Corporate Service teams by providing payroll processing support across a diverse range of clients.
- Compliance: Prepare clients’ BAS and IAS.
- Financial Reporting: Support the finance and client service teams with monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting (as required), ensuring all financial data is current. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
About You
- Certificate IV in Accounting or Bookkeeping (desired).
- 3+ years of experience in a Bookkeeping/Accounting role, ideally within a small practice or professional services environment.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, and/or QuickBooks; exposure to APS is advantageous but not essential.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to independently manage tasks and work collaboratively within a team.
