Description
As HR Advisor at Riverina, you'll manage day-to-day HR functions with a strong emphasis on Learning and Development (L&D) and Recruitment.
Reporting to the HR Manager responsibilities will include;
- Key point of contact for employees, addressing HR and payroll queries;
- Manage the People inboxes, prioritizing and escalating HR queries;
- Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening, interviews, pre-employment checks, and employee onboarding;
- Develop tailored training programs to enhance skills, compliance, and workplace safety;
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives through employee feedback and performance metrics;
- Handle Employee Relations matters, including investigations and performance improvement plans;
- Collaborate with the HSE Manager to manage Workers' Compensation claims;
- Coordinate employee lifecycle processes, such as new starters, staff changes, probationary reviews, exit interviews, and terminations;
- Collaborate on internal communications, including the monthly staff e-newsletter;
- Support the HR Manager on various projects.
Profile
The successful applicant will have experience in a similar generalist role. You will possess;
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline;
- Track record in a generalist position with exposure to recruitment, employee relations;
- Previous track record with L&D initiatives and passion for this space will be highly regarded;
- Knowledge of legislative and statutory requirements and awards applicable to the industry;
- Previous experience in a blue-collar environment is a must, and multi-site experience is advantageous;
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills;
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively;
- Strong attention to detail in coordinating HR processes and ensuring compliance;
- Experience in ELMO or similar HR information systems (HRIS).
