Due to the nature of clients we work with here at Kinexus and the projects these roles will be based on, an Australian Government Top Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) clearance is essential.
These opportunities do not have the ability to obtain sponsorship for a security clearance (including applicants who currently hold a security clearance seeking to upgrade).
ABOUT THIS ROLE
Change Managers coordinate activities and communication in order to ensure project objectives are met and sustained. They focus on the people aspect of change including changes to business processes, tools and technology, job roles and organisation structures.

Working arrangements: ACT, 5 days a week in the office. Candidates must be willing to undergo ASD's Organisational Suitability Assessment (OSA) prior to engagement. Candidates required to have PV clearance.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Change Management
- Develop and execute comprehensive change plans to support user transition and acceptance of new IT capabilities.
- Establish and manage a business readiness plan to ensure alignment between IT deployment, capability rollout, and business operations.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Lead engagement efforts with diverse stakeholders, including those with varying levels of change maturity.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to address resistance, build consensus, and achieve buy-in for change initiatives.
- Facilitate communication and cooperation between cross-functional teams.
Leadership and Collaboration
- Motivate and guide Change Champions to support successful change adoption.
- Provide leadership in driving cultural and behavioural change to align with project goals.
Monitoring and Reporting
- Monitor and report on progress toward business readiness targets, including key operational metrics and productivity measures.
- Identify and address risks, gaps, and challenges related to change initiatives.
Knowledge Transfer and Documentation
- Codify developed knowledge into documentation for effective knowledge transfer to contractors and employees.
- Ensure all training materials and engagement activities are appropriately maintained and accessible.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities for improving change management practices and apply innovative solutions to optimise results.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proven experience managing change in complex IT environments.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including the ability to lead diverse groups.
- Expertise in business readiness planning, change impact assessments, and training development.
- Familiarity with SFIA skills CIPM 5 and BUAN 4.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Experience with NIC agencies and the intelligence production process.
- Experience with change frameworks and digital transformation initiatives.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE NEEDED
- CIPM5: Creates the business readiness plan, taking into consideration IT deployment, data migration, capability deployment (training and engagement activities) and any business activities required to integrate new digital processes or jobs into the "business as usual" environment. Determines the readiness levels of business users with regard to upcoming changes; uncovers readiness gaps and creates and implements action plans to close the gaps prior to going live. Assists the user community in the provision of transition support and change planning, and liaises with the project team. Monitors and reports progress on business readiness targets, business engagement activity, training design and deployment activities, key operational metrics and return to productivity measures. Defines the series and sequence of activities to bring stakeholders to the required level of commitment, prior to going live.
- BUAN4: Investigates operational requirements, problems, and opportunities, seeking effective business solutions through improvements in automated and non-automated components of new or changed processes. Assists in the analysis of stakeholder objectives, and the underlying issues arising from investigations into business requirements and problems, and identifies options for consideration. Works iteratively with stakeholders, to identify potential benefits and available options for consideration, and in defining acceptance tests.
- Implement the required activities to successfully enable change within a complex IT environment.
- Develop change plans to enable users transition and acceptance of new IT capabilities.
- Lead engagement with a wide variety of diverse stakeholders with differing level of change maturity. Able to collaborate and motivate Change Champions to ensure success of change activities.
- Codification of developed knowledge to enable knowledge transfer to ASD contractors and employees.
