We are actively seeking a new Senior Supervisor to join our Water business based in Beenleigh which will be reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager. This new role will be to provide day to day support and guidance to a multidiscipline team in the planning and delivery of work, to meet safety, quality, financial and productivity targets, primarily focussed on wastewater asset construction in the field, working with project delivery teams, comprising project managers, project engineers and site supervisors.
ABOUT THE ROLE
- Monitor and manage schedule performance in coordination with the project team, assisting in developing actions and influencing delivery partners and suppliers, to improve performance if required, ensuring efficient delivery of works to meet targets. Instil a culture of driving schedule performance within the teams, proactively flagging and escalating schedule concerns to key stakeholders
- Facilitate and mentor team members in effective logistical planning with subcontractors to promote project success
- Develop and build relationships with key stakeholders to ensure project success and ongoing works
- Lead the interface between LWP project delivery and LCC Network Operations teams, in respect to wastewater network connection planning, ensuring no shutdown and isolations are delayed through careful planning and coordination of works, including through review and approval of Interim Operation Plans and mentoring of the team
- The Senior Supervisor will be responsible for the providing constructability and methodology input into design development from concept design to IFC design, liaising with planning and design teams, in conjunction with the Senior Project Manager, including consultation with other delivery team members to facilitate teamwide engagement in design development
- Ensure compliance with all legal, statutory and policy requirements as appropriate, and always promote consistency in approach across the wastewater subprogram
- Provide oversight and guidance to teams to ensure effective and consistent Zero Harm performance in the delivery of pre-starts, work method statements, authority to work permits (ATWPs), high risk work processes, documentation, equipment/vehicles and work sites in accordance with Downer Zero Harm IMS requirements
- Foster and maintain a collaborative, high-performing and client-oriented culture of continuous improvement and assist the Senior Project Manager in leading a large subprogram workforce to support delivery of strategic objectives
ABOUT YOU
- Minimum 10 years’ experience within the construction industry. Experience or exposure to construction of water utilities
- Exposure to, and experience with project planning, execution and delivery
- Demonstrated experience in driving a Zero Harm Culture within teams
- Demonstrated experience in leading and managing internal teams as well as subcontractors to achieve results and objectives
- Good interpersonal skills, with the ability to supervise and delegate responsibilities to direct reports. Proficient planning, time management and prioritisation skills
