The Role
In this full-time role based in our Broadbeach office, you are an experienced Development Manager with a background in the professions, such as, but not limited to engineering, town planning, valuation or surveying.
You'll work shoulder to shoulder with the Managing Director, in sourcing, assessing, and negotiating new projects. You'll also be working on our 3 existing projects, with a total lot pipeline of over 1200 lots.
The business is powered with our own in house Retail Fund which invests directly into our project portfolio, which means there is enormous scope for growth. The business itself has fully funded its current projects and has acquired a number of new subdivisions which will substantially increase our output, hence the need for your role.
As the Successful Candidate your Responsibilities are:
- To deliver the Group's projects on time and within budget
- To manage and mitigate the Group's development risk
- To maximise development profits within the Group's development projects
- To manage external consulting teams and contractors across the Group's projects
- To assist in the analysis of new projects for potential acquisition by the Group
- Maintain best practices and standards that fit within the CW culture.
As the successful candidate, you will have the following:
- 10+ years experience in Development Management
- Have a property-based background
- Direct experience in delivering large scale subdivisions
- Preferable knowledge of delivering large scale townhouse and/or multi level apartments
- An understanding of all the the different consultants inputs into achieveing a Development Approval, Operational Works, and achieving titles on a project
- An understanding of the practical elements of civil construction
- Direct Experience in EstateMaster (DM and PM)
- Experience in monthly cost management and working hand in hand with the CFO and Finance team in reconciling to budget
- Must be tech savvy
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-starter who is proactive and works well within a team
- Flexibility to travel away overnight for onsite meetings on a monthly basis
- Be based on the Gold Coast

About Us
Our vibrant family business has grown significantly over 14 years and has taken enormous steps over the last 5 of those to see us competing on a national scale.
Over this time we've built a development pipeline worth over $500m, with focus on projects that have genuine scale. There are currently 5 projects, 3 of which are in planning stage, and the other 2 are under construction. We are actively looking to add to this pipeline and you'll be directly involved in this process.
