The Opportunity
A rewarding role for a self-driven and enthusiastic person passionate about WHS and strives for continuous improvement. This position sits within our busy Compliance Team and works closely with Human Resources.
The position suits an individual wishing to develop their skills across all aspects of WHS and compliance. Based in either Tuncurry or Port Macquarie and supporting regional sites with safety, risk mitigation and compliance across Northern and Northwestern depots of NSW under the guidance of the Safety, Risk & Compliance Manager.
Tasks and Duties

Working with sites implementing company policies, programs, and initiatives for continuous improvement

Assist in the development and review of safety documentation

Monitoring and conducting regular safety compliance checks and audits across depots

Undertake incident investigations
-
Lead onsite safety improvement initiatives surrounding safe work, chemical handling, and emergency response

Assist with contractor safety management across the region

Raise and support a continuous growth and understanding of safety culture

Assist sites with management of workers compensation.
Essential Requirements
-
Minimum 2-5 years of experience in a similar role

Willingness to learn
-
Knowledge of WHS legislation and a passion for safety
-
Understanding of Workers Compensation and Return to Work programs

Adept communication skills
-
Be able to drive new processes and procedures.

Ability to travel regularly will be required
