About the role:

The Lead, Employee Complaint and Case Management, provides strategic leadership and expert advice in developing and implementing business processes, policies, and initiatives for managing employee complaints and case management within the Department for Education.

This role requires oversight of merit selection and the management of employees assigned to the Case Management Unit due to restructure, incapacity or cessation of workers’ compensation entitlements.

The Lead, Employee Complaint and Case Management works closely with the Manager, Employee Management, to develop unit processes that ensure high-quality and cohesive support to leaders in handling employee complaints, and specialised case management in relation to their employment and the achievement of unit outcomes in accordance with organisational priorities.

The Lead is also responsible for providing day to day leadership to a team, including Ethical Conduct Consultants and Case Managers, ensuring the delivery of effective and timely case management solutions.

Qualifications:

Essential: Nil.

Desirable: A tertiary qualification in Education, Human Resources or other relevant discipline, or equivalent experience. Knowledge and understanding of the Department for Education context.

Special conditions:

The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration:
ASO8 $121,107 - 125,679 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading.
