We are on the lookout for a proactive, tech-savvy Junior IT Support Officer to join our high-performing IT team. This is your opportunity to play a vital role in delivering fast, friendly, and efficient first-level IT support across the USU.
In this hands-on, casual role, you'll be the first point of contact for staff IT needs—resolving technical issues, assisting with onboarding, and supporting day-to-day operations including hardware and POS systems. You will receive ongoing training to ensure you are successful in the role.

What You Will Do
- Respond to IT helpdesk queries via email, phone, and our ticketing system
- Set up user accounts and configure new hardware for staff onboarding
- Troubleshoot basic application and software issues, including Office365 and OKTA
- Provide point of sale (POS) and mobile device support
- Assist in hardware/software rollouts and IT inductions
- Liaise with Sydney University ICT and internal departments to resolve tech issues
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation and training materials
- Strong customer service skills and a passion for tech support
- Experience with Office365 products and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with iOS and Android mobile device setup
- Excellent problem-solving and time management abilities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
This is a 6 month casual position, up to 28 hours per week.
PAY RATE
$35.73 p/h (inclusive of 25% casual loading)
