An opportunity exists to join the Department’s Curriculum, Teaching and Learning (CTL) branch to contribute to education initiatives that make a difference in the lives of Queensland students.

This role will join teams that are responsible for delivering system priorities of the Equity and Excellence education strategy for STEM and Junior Secondary.

About The Role

We are seeking a team player with the knowledge, skills and commitment to support the governance, project and communications responsibilities of the Junior Secondary and STEM teams.

The CTL Project Officer Will Have Following Responsibilities

  • Maintain flow of approvals to and from OED
  • Support responsible governance processes including reporting, travel and finance
  • Plan, write, coordinate and deliver internal and external communications
  • Create and quality assure documents and presentations
  • Provide administrative and project support for key Junior secondary and STEM projects and events including collating and presenting evaluation data
  • Participate positively and proactively to the teams' work.


The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and keen to value-add to teams, with skills in a range of technology programs that enhance communication, data and information collection, and efficient ways of working.
