We are seeking a dedicated Team Leader – Insurance Services to lead and support a team of Insurance Services Officers. In this role, you will provide supervision and guidance while assisting with the issuing, amending and cancelling of cover, providing Insurance Information Statements, and investigating, assessing and determining matters related to the Queensland Home Warranty Scheme.The position is based in Brisbane, and the successful candidate will have the option to engage in a work from home arrangement that suits the Division under an approved Flexible Work Arrangement. Key Outcomes and Accountabilities
The Aim Of This Role Is To
- Supervise, monitor and report on the attendance and performance, including performance management, of Insurance Services Officers, in the Underwriting Unit, and the work performed by the team.
- Monitor, review and improve services provided by the Underwriting Unit.
- Maintain and update the Underwriting Procedures Manual.
- Provide information and advice to internal and external customers on the Queensland Home Warranty Scheme and other QBCC and building related matters including QBCC's legislation, services, policies, procedures and products and assist Insurance Service Officers in the provision of this advice.
- Provide support and assistance with the investigation and assessment of matters relating to the Queensland Home Warranty Scheme.
Candidate Attributes
- Demonstrated extensive Team Leader experience including coaching, mentoring, and conflict resolution skills associated with ongoing staff management.
- The ability to apply, interpret, provide higher level advice on and implement legislation and policies.
- Process, use, gather and analyse information contained within computerised knowledge bases and other data and ensure accuracy of information to meet client needs.
- High level effective communication skills, teamwork and interpersonal skills in the workplace to achieve optimum customer service outcomes.
