About the Role
As Bid & Tender Manager, you will lead the end-to-end tender process across the Australian and New Zealand markets. Working closely with sales, engineering, legal, and finance teams, you will manage proposal development, client engagement, and submission delivery to secure new business across utility and industrial battery projects.
You will bring commercial discipline, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset to ensure all submissions are strategically aligned, technically sound, and commercially compelling.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate bids for battery storage, hybrid systems, and grid-scale energy projects
- Own the tender lifecycle including qualification, RFx response, bid strategy and submission
- Collaborate with sales, engineering, finance, and legal to develop compliant and tailored proposals
- Drive bid planning and scheduling, ensuring alignment with internal resources and submission deadlines
- Review customer specifications and identify key commercial and technical risks
- Contribute to pricing, cost modelling, and value engineering initiatives in partnership with commercial teams
- Tailor proposal content, win themes and executive summaries to resonate with customer requirements
- Manage clarifications, submissions, presentations, and post-tender negotiation processes
- Work closely with global proposal and engineering teams to align formats, templates, and processes
- Lead bid close-out reviews and share insights to inform future opportunities and strategy
- Proven experience leading tenders or bids in infrastructure, EPC, energy or engineering-led industries
- Strong understanding of complex RFx processes, proposal preparation and contract requirements
- Commercial acumen and ability to work across disciplines including engineering, legal and finance
- Strong written communication, attention to detail, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Familiarity with renewable energy, battery storage or grid-connected systems preferred
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving business environment
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, business, or related discipline highly regarded
