Your opportunity:

Our Digital & Information Group is growing, and we have multiple opportunities for experienced Digital Business Partners to join our Digital Experience Team.

Digital & Information is responsible for digitally enabling Urban Utilities today while transforming our future capabilities to enhance digital services for our customers, community, and people. We drive Urban Utilities’ digital & data strategy, oversee the digital portfolio, and manage IT, OT, data, IoT, security, infrastructure, system administration, network operations, and support services.

Reporting to the Digital Experience Lead, the Digital Business Partner serves as the primary interface between the business group they represent and the Digital & Information Group. The Digital Business Partner will embed themselves deeply within business to foster alignment and support the strategic change and digital experience of the business group they support.

This role is pivotal in representing D&I’s strategy, operating model, and priorities to stakeholders at all levels, from executives to frontline teams, while acting as the voice of the customer to influence and shape digital initiatives. By building trusted relationships, advocating for innovative solutions, and ensuring the seamless integration of digital capabilities, the Digital Business Partner empowers Urban Utilities to deliver impactful and sustainable digital outcomes and ensures our organisation provides an excellent digital experience to our people, customers, and stakeholders.

About you:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant subject area (Business, Commerce, Project Management, Engineering, Information Technology or other relevant discipline), and/or equivalent industry experience in a medium to large organisation.

  • Post-graduate qualifications in in relevant subject area (Business, Commerce, Project Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or other relevant discipline) would be advantageous.

  • Significant demonstrated experience in planning, managing, and organising resources within short / medium timescales within the overall policy framework.

  • Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams and support IT operations.

  • Customer-focused with a strategic and curious mindset.

  • Demonstrates integrity, authenticity, and values diverse perspectives.

  • Agile and adaptable, embracing change and new challenges.

  • Strong planning and decision-making skills to drive safe and effective outcomes.

  • Security clearance/SOCI requirements may apply.

Performance of ‘on call’ duties are an inherent requirement of this role. This requires that the employee must be available to be on-call and to attend to work matters, both in person and remotely, outside of normal working hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, as reasonably required to fulfill the requirements of the position. The days, times, duration and frequency of on call arrangements may be subject to change, including at short notice, as required by Urban Utilities’ operational needs as applying from time to time. At all times whilst on-call, you must be fit for duty, contactable, and able to respond, including the ability to physically attend if required, to the operational needs of the business within a reasonable timeframe and in a safe manner.
