SPECIALISED ENGINEERING SERVICES
FULL TIME CIVIL ENGINEER
Due to the expansions in our Kalgoorlie Operations, we are currently seeking a qualified full time Civil Engineer.
The Position is Kalgoorlie based and NOT FIFO.
Must be able to pass D&A Test and Police Clearance
Must have a current driver’s license
Must have a Trade certificate
Key Responsibilities:

Design and Planning :

Develop detailed designs and plans for construction projects.

Use CAD software and other design tools to create blueprints.

Ensure designs comply with building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.

Project Management :

Oversee the construction process, from the initial design phase to completion.

Manage timelines, budgets, and resources.
-
Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other professionals involved in the project.

Ensure quality control throughout the project.

Site Evaluation and Surveying :

Conduct site assessments and surveys to evaluate land conditions, existing structures, and environmental factors.
-
Recommend solutions for site development or issues like soil instability, drainage, etc.

Compliance and Safety :
-
Ensure projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations.
-
Ensure the safety of workers, the public, and the environment.
-
Prepare reports and documentation required for permits, inspections, and approvals.

Budgeting and Cost Estimation :
-
Estimate project costs and provide recommendations for budgeting.
-
Monitor expenses to keep projects within financial constraints.
-

Collaboration and Communication :
-
Collaborate with clients, government agencies, and other engineers.
-
Communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

Provide advice and technical support throughout the lifecycle of the project.

Maintenance and Repair :

Inspect completed structures and identify the need for repairs or upgrades.

Provide solutions for the rehabilitation of aging infrastructure.

Skills Required:

Technical Skills : Proficiency in design software like AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar.

Problem-Solving : Ability to address design challenges and construction issues efficiently.

Project Management : Experience managing complex projects, budgets, and teams.

Communication Skills : Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Attention to Detail : Ensuring all aspects of a project are executed with precision.
Qualifications:

A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field) is typically required.

A Professional Engineer (PE) license may be necessary, depending on the location and job level.

Experience in the civil engineering industry (often 1-5 years for entry-level, more for senior positions).

Knowledge of industry-specific software and tools.
Working Conditions:

Work can be performed in both office and field environments.

Time may be spent on construction sites, which could require physical activity and exposure to varying weather conditions.

Some travel may be necessary, depending on project locations
Pay Rate between $45.00 & $55.00 per hour depending on experience.
