About the role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for amotivated individual to fill the role of Manager within our Kalgoorlie Aboriginal Short Stay Accommodation.

We have 1 Full time position available on a contract until June 2027.

Reporting to the General Manager the successful candidates primary purpose is to oversee the effective and culturally safe operation of the facility, ensuring that it provides safe, affordable, and welcoming short-term accommodation for Aboriginal people visiting Kalgoorlie from remote communities. This includes managing day-to-day operations, leading and supporting staff, maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders (including Aboriginal communities), and ensuring the service aligns with cultural protocols and community needs.

About you

The successful applicant will be well organised with an aptitude for working with people from a variety of backgrounds adhering strongly to the values of compassion, respect and integrity.

You will have specialist knowledge gained through experience, training or education related to working in remote communities .You will hold comprehensive and well-developed leadership, coaching and staff development experience ideally including applying specialist practice and supervision across a multidisciplinary service model. You thrive in a collaborative, busy team environment and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office. You will have a track record of being solutions-focused, with a knack for problem-solving. You will hold strong communication skills with the ability to proactively develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships, within a remote community setting.

Additionally, to be successful in the role you will have the following:

  • Experience working in a similar role.
  • Tertiary Degree in relevant Human Services field is desirable

  • Demonstrates an understanding of your own safety and that of others in the workplace.
  • National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 6 months)
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Drivers License
