The job:
The Client Support Worker (CSW) works closely with KWILS’ Legal team and other members of the Support Services team to deliver culturally safe, trauma-informed, and high-quality support services and case management to clients accessing KWILS.
This role is essential in identifying, addressing, and resolving non-legal concerns, particularly those that heighten the risk of domestic, family and sexual violence. The CSW is also vital in promoting enhanced awareness of legal rights, facilitating access to justice, and assisting women to create and re-establish safety through client support.
What we're looking for:

Experience in community services, legal centres, or the DFSV sector

Knowledge of (or willingness to learn) relevant legislation and frameworks, including NT mandatory reporting and child protection laws

Understanding of DFSV dynamics, including trauma, coercive control, and the gendered nature of violence

Awareness of the complex barriers women face, especially those from diverse backgrounds
-
Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to explain sensitive info clearly

Ability to build respectful relationships with clients and stakeholders from diverse communities

Confident in problem-solving and making decisions, including in crisis situations

Able to use sound judgment, maintain confidentiality, and uphold professional boundaries
