As an Ancillary Services Officer , you'll contribute to the Centre's smooth operation by supporting essential services like cleaning, kitchen support, laundry, grounds, and stores. Your efforts help maintain a safe and supportive space for young people in our care.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role ideal for those who are reliable, motivated, and looking to be part of a close-knit team.
Key Responsibilities
Temporary Full-time employment until 27 June 2025
- Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene in designated areas
- Carry out detailed cleaning duties (e.g., floors, windows, restrooms, offices)
- Store and manage cleaning supplies and equipment
- Assist in the kitchen and help with meal delivery
- Provide support in laundry services and minor clothing repairs
- Assist with grounds maintenance (mowing, pruning, weeding)
- Help with stores distribution and basic admin tasks
- Dispose of waste appropriately
- Foster a safe, secure, and inclusive working environment
About You
- Organised and reliable
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working across different tasks and locations
- Committed to maintaining high hygiene standards
- Positive and proactive in their approach
- You'll also need to demonstrate leadership qualities at the individual contributor level, including professionalism, accountability, and strong relationship-building skills.
- A current valid Blue Card (or ability to obtain one).
- Ability to pass a Criminal History Check , reference checks, and pre-employment screening (including disclosure of serious disciplinary history).
- Proof of right to work in Australia (citizenship, residency, or visa).
