I am proud to be partnering with this leading Queensland Government Department to recruit an experienced Business Analyst on an hourly rate contract based in Brisbane’s CBD.Position overview
The Business Analyst will be responsible for determining and documenting requirements for a Queensland government procurement process. The department is seeking a Business Analyst with previous experience in business analysis and operational support service knowledge of Microsoft 365 (M365) products who will be responsible for determining and documenting the requirements for a Queensland government procurement process.
The requirements are for the tender of a support contract for M365 services covering both school and corporate environments. The role requires stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering and analysis in line with the department’s strategic future directions and analysis of current support contracts and service gap identification. The Business Analyst will work closely with other lines of business to eliminate potential overlaps in service agreements and ensure compliance with departmental requirements. The output will be a set of requirements that the department can use in a procurement process to engage a new contractual arrangement.
Key tasks / responsibilities:
Gather, Validate, and Document Business Requirements:
- Work with stakeholders to understand and document technical M365 business requirements, ensuring accuracy and alignment with both current and future operational and strategic goals.
- Develop documented clear and detailed functional and non-functional requirements to support decision making for a M365 support services tender and contract negotiations.
- Work with internal stakeholders through the facilitation of meetings and workshops to determine requirements and support decision making for M365 support services.
- Conduct a comprehensive review of existing M365 support contracts to understand service delivery, service levels, response times, and overall effectiveness.
- Analyse current and future service support to identify any gaps between current and future departmental requirements.
- Ensure that all requirements adhere to departmental policies, industry best practices, and compliance requirements.
- Performance monitoring: Establish and implement requirements to track the effectiveness of M365 support services, ensuring continuous improvement for inclusion in contractual arrangement.
