About this Opportunity


We are seeking a highly motivated Purchasing Administrator to join our team at Harvey Fresh. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for generating and maintaining documentation for all purchasing orders on site, in addition to general administrative tasks and responsibilities.



Key responsibilities of the role are:



  • Undertake general administrative tasks as required.
  • Oversee stocktake as required.
  • Contacting vendors/suppliers for quotes.
  • Entering all purchasing orders for the site.
  • Follow up with vendors on delivery ETAs.
  • Run SAP reports fortnightly and order parts as required.
  • Book couriers for delivery/returns of parts.
  • Working with accounts payable to ensure all purchase orders correctly match the invoice (SAP workflow).
  • Initiate new vendor application for manager approval.
  • Assisting the Site Administrator with ad-hoc duties.


To be successful in this position, you will have:



  • Proficient written and oral communications skills
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Suite of products
  • SAP knowledge and application (highly desirable but not essential)
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously as part of the bigger team
  • A strong understanding of what constitutes customer service and application of effective customer service skills
  • Ability to manage a high volume of work and prioritise tasks
  • Diplomacy and initiative
  • Strong attention to detail

You will be highly organised and have the ability to communicate with all levels in our business. You must have a strong focus on effective time management, attention to detail and the ability to multi-task. You will need a proactive and positive attitude.
