About The RoleAs a Media Planner, you will be responsible for developing and executing paid media strategies that align with the City’s communication objectives and community priorities. You’ll play a key part in ensuring public funds are invested wisely, balancing reach, relevance, and ROI in every campaign.
This role requires a strong understanding of both traditional and digital media landscapes. You’ll be at the forefront of media innovation leveraging emerging channels, refining audience targeting, and negotiating with media suppliers to secure optimal placements.
You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver cohesive, high-performing campaigns. From briefing suppliers and analysing campaign performance to producing detailed reports and managing invoices, you’ll own the media process end-to-end.

About You
You have a solid grasp of media planning principles, campaign performance metrics, and how to translate marketing goals into media outcomes. You’re analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with data to evaluate success and guide future activity. You’re a confident communicator who builds strong relationships with stakeholders and vendors alike. You’re proactive, flexible, and thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same. You bring a collaborative mindset and a passion for delivering work that positively impacts the local community
