About the role
As Asset Protection Officer, you will be part of the Safe City and Asset Protection team and responsible for providing advice and support to internal and external stakeholders in relation to fire and security related matters. Your focus will be on asset security management and technical systems including access control, keys, and fire safety.
Some of your responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Coordinate the delivery of projects and operational tasking to ensure the requirements of the relevant building security, fire safety and emergency regulations are met and compliance with policies and procedures
Engage and facilitate contractors and key stakeholders responsible for the delivery of building security and fire safety maintenance, training, and programs
Assist with administrative, projects and technical support
Provide internal support and advice to departments on building security, fire and emergency safety management issues and the collection and investigation of recorded information

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
Hold a current Queensland C class driver licence
Demonstrated computer skills with the ability to learn various programs and systems
Ability to independently attend and conduct site visits, meeting, and inspections
Suitable candidates shall:
Be safety conscious and diligent with an ability to multitask
Be willing to participate in an on-call roster, if required

This is a full-time 12-month fixed-term position, with a salary commencing at $89,396, plus 12.5% superannuation.
