About the role:
This position is situated within the Dandenong South office and is responsible for assisting in managing the provision of administration support to the Area Managers Southern Services; the Senior Admin Officer the Out of Home Care team and the Home Based Care teams in Southern Metro.
The Administration Officer is located within the Dandenong office and reports to the Senior Administration Officer. The Administration Officer will support the functioning of the Dandenong including liaison with support staff from MacKillop’s central office and staff from a wide range of government and non-government agencies.
The Administration Officer will have oversight of the local integration and alignment of all ‘back office’ functions including contracting and standards development, policy development, community relations, finance and business services and human resource management in partnership with Melbourne based executive members and their teams.
The Administration Officer will be responsible for supporting the staff and programs across Southern Services and for compliance requirements in the Dandenong office, while also providing support to the North and East regions.
This is a Permanent Full-Time opportunity based in Dandenong, VIC within our Southern Metro Program. The position reports to the Senior Administration Officer NSE (VIC).
Key Selection Criteria:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families.
- Demonstrated administrative experience and organisational skills including the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously whilst working to tight deadlines.
- Excellent customer service skills with a demonstrated ability to provide assistance to both internal and external persons.
- Sound financial administration skills and the capacity to integrate these with generalist administrative/project management work.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills including a demonstrated capacity to work and liaise effectively with a range of people.
- Well-developed computer skills in MS Word and MS Excel as a minimum. Knowledge of other software packages desirable as is developing and managing spread sheets/databases.
