LSKD is an Australian-owned and operated brand that prides itself in producing high-quality functional sportswear with a street aesthetic. What does my team do?

Our commitment to fostering a sense of community and connection is at
the core of the Community Marketing team. Building brand and
community which can be recognised as driving deep loyalty within our
fitness communities and aligning them to our mission of inspiring them to
be 1% better every day. We are creating a way to connect authentically
with a broadly diverse group of people that are glued together through
their collective passion for fitness and personal development.

The gig

Our Head of Community Marketing is a newly created role reporting directly to the Chief Retail Officer. This role is responsible for the Community Marketing Managers (CMMs), the Community Athletes and the National Events teams with 8-10 direct reports. This role is pivotal in creating community marketing strategies that align with the LSKD mission and values to foster traffic growth, brand loyalty and a positive community sentiment. You will be directly accountable for ensuring our CMMs are elevating their store community programs and regional impact, as well as directing national events and the Local Athlete Programs. A large focus will be ensuring our store community programs are healthy and bringing the overall brand strategy to life
through athletes, events, gifting and other initiatives. You'll work collaboratively alongside all departments, and very closely aligned with Fitness Partnerships, Athletes and the Digital Marketing team. Your key responsibilities, including yet not limited to:
  • Builds a strong community marketing strategy for 12-18 months
    with the IMM (Integrated Marketing Merchandise Calendar) at the
    forefront. Plan, execute, and evaluate external events, aligning back
    to the company annual brand campaigns that are fresh and
    engaging
  • Manage and lead the Community Marketing Managers by region,
    and the Events Managers
  • Deliver all events and initiatives on time and within budgets, and
    deliver to our community at a standard that creates long-lasting
    memories
  • Ensure there is clear communication about what is happening in the
    community department, aligning all events and activations to the
    Asana calendars and tasks, and is aligned to the IMM in a timely way
  • Lead and innovate the community athlete team and programs –
    ensures we are bringing on the right athletes, onboarding them well,
    ensuring the relationships are continually fostered
  • Stays connected through avidly sweating in the community through
    our 1% better program. Ensure to always keep your finger on the
    pulse of what’s happening in the functional fitness space, as well as
    up and coming trends
  • Monitor LSKD and other social media channels, forums, and other
    spaces to engage with and respond to community members. Ensure
    to capture content for socials to share on company socials weekly
  • Build and maintains relationships with external partners, event
    organisers, and key influencers
  • Collaborate with all functions in the wider business to ensure the
    success of the community marketing department

To give you the edge:

  • 10+ years of leadership with 5 or more direct reports
  • Proven skills in managing a strong high performing and happy
    team
  • A strong background in community building, marketing, partnerships
    and athlete management
  • Accomplished experience in business development, project
    management, event management and budget management
  • Evidence of driving growth beyond what appears possible that has the team and community at the heart of the execution
  • Able to vision, strategise and lead a plan to execution, and galvanise a team around it
  • Has worked for 2+ years in an omnichannel environment directly working with ecommerce and marketing teams
