As an Event Logistics team member your role will be a ‘general duties’ position which supports the setup, pack down & equipment movement for Events throughout the property. Duties would include setting up and packing down tables, bars, drink stations, buffets, stages, various floor coverings, walls, curtains, partitions and retractable seating. This is a fantastic opportunity where you will showcase your event logistics expertise throughout our property at The Star Gold Coast. A few of your responsibilities:- Interpret and understand Event orders and banquet set up instructions
- Physically move and strategically place Events furniture and equipment
- Maintain guest focus in all services, ensuring that delivery is timely, effective and efficient
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders as required
- Proven experience in events, logistics and/or hospitality
- Forklift Licence, Traffic Control and Pallet Jack experience (advantageous but not required)
- Ability to work within a team and communicate efficiently
- An understanding of safe work practices and the ability follow procedures and processes
- Current QLD RSA Statement of Attainment
